About Us

Two Southern Ladies with a Dream

The idea of Southern Specialties came from a love and pride of southern hospitality and traditions. Owned and operated by two authentic Southern ladies: mother-daughter duo, Lauren Warrick and Jeanne Jones. Southern Specialties originated in Waxhaw, NC in 2016, and Lauren and Jeanne, decided to relocate to Spokane in 2018 to be closer to family.

Southern Specialties is a place you can count on for all things Southern – gifts, monogramming, and eat

Our Mission

Our number one priority is community involvement. At Southern Specialties we love Spokane and appreciate local organizations who provide much needed services to the Spokane community. We host regular after-hour shopping events to support local non-profits, schools, etc.

Jeanne Jones

/ Owner
Jeanne is a true Southern Belle - you'll understand once you hear the accent! She has had a life-long passion of expressing her love towards others through education, food and hospitality. Jeanne was a special education teacher for 30 years in Mississippi, she has also owned a catering business in both Mississippi and Washington State. Giving back is important to Jeanne, so when she isn't at Southern Specialties she is volunteering with the CASA program in Spokane County. Many will ask Jeanne her what her favorite part about Spokane is and she says "I love the weather and the four seasons - we don't have that in The South".

Lauren Warrick

/ Owner
Lauren, born and raised in Mississippi, has always been a Southern girl at heart, but she has taken time to explore other parts of the country - which lead her to Spokane after marrying a Spokane native. Lauren and her husband Nick have 2 children. Lauren’s background is in Public Health; however, her other passion for years has been to be a small business owner, providing quality products and service. Community involvement is another priority for Lauren and she dedicates her time to being a member of the Junior League of Spokane and she currently sits on the board of Beyond Pink.
